Sametz is the founding director of the Lehigh Summer Choral Composers’ Forum.  Composers from across the country come together to create new works during an intensive, week-long seminar under the mentorship of Dr. Sametz and guest clinicians. Guest composers on the faculty have included Chen Yi, Alberto Grau, Libby Larsen, Zhou Long, Robert Chilcott, Stephen Paulus, Z. Randall Stroupe and Steven Stucky. The Princeton Singers, serving as choir-in-residence, reads developing pieces over the week and presents a concert of premieres at the end of the workshop.  Over seventy-five premieres have been given and many of the works have been published.  Since 2010, the Forum has been co-sponsored by The American Choral Directors Association.  In 2012, twenty-two works were presented in Washington D.C. as part of the ACDA-Library of Congress National Symposium on Choral Music.
